Casino Night

Tonight Vince and I attend one of the Department of Student Housing's resident hall events. A mock casino where students can win prizes. Despite the face that Vince and I both live in a private dormitory I thought we'd be able to slip in under the radar and attend the event anyway. I was correct. We didn't win any prizes but I pilfered a black t-shirt designed to look like a tuxedo from one of the casino volunteers, so it's not a total loss. Not bad for a $1.00 entry fee!

Back to School

Spring Semester began on Friday. I've been anxiously awaiting for my college career to resume but now that it has, I can't help but feel some trepidation. I'm just not as far as along in my studies as I had hoped and planed to be by now; for instance most of my classes are still 100-level. I'm worried about the side effects of burning out early-- it's way too early to feel the stress that I do.

Mom is also getting in on the college experience. She's teaching a government budget class at WU, and the mayor is enrolled in it.

It's Sunday now and I'm back to my old procrastinating tricks. I spent all last night hanging out with Pat and Zinaida. We saw Children of Men then went over to Dina's new all female dormitory and fixed her electronics.

I also spent a large portion of today watching gross videos on the web with Vince, and listening ruefully as he and others tried to invent the least preposterous reasons for hating Barak Obama other than he's not white.
