Just got back from seeing King Kong with dad. It was a better movie than I expected. Leeches were gross though, during that part I saw an entire theater auidence squirm. Makes me want to go see New York again.

Merry Fucking Christmas
Yesterday wasn't too exciting. I spent most of the day inside doing Christmas shopping on Ebay. Although I did go out for a couple of hours to meet with Mom, and our insurance company's appointed attorney. Did I mention I'm being sued for that car accident I had nearly three years ago?
I was the only one driving but she also sued both my parents just because their names were on the title of the car (odd). I suppose the woman just wanted to make sure she received some sort of payment since at the time I was 17 and unemployed.
The insurance agency believes she is just trying to pay off some exorbenent heath fees she has managed to rack up visiting this chiropractor. Just because I'm the one being sued doesn't automatically make me doubt her claim to injury, but it does seem unlikely given the way she was prancing around only seconds after we collided. At the time she seemed fine to me. Better than fine.
So basically I just went in and answered a bunch of dumb questions like: 1) What were you doing at the time (driving) 2) What were you doing 8 hours prior (sleeping) 3) Were you drunk at the time? (The accident was at 7:40, yes because every teen starts the day off right with a breakfast of Cheerios and vodka shots). You get my drift, though the questions were about five times longer than that and written in leaglese so it amounted to hefty stack, and probably a lot of dead trees.
On the bright side, the lawyer was kinda hot. She was like a brunette, slightly less anorexic Ally McBeal. Only a year out of law school she was so cute, and professional.
The PS2 I'm selling on Ebay only plays PSONE and music CDs. For some reason the laser won't read DVDs or PS2 games. I'm discovering this 6 days into the auction. Could get ugly. . . . .
I found some online guides to cleaning it and I've just completed all the steps. I'd like to test it out again but right now my uncle is watching my school beat the shit out of Houston in a football game. Good. Fucking arrogant Texans.

Eeek, Ebay
I'm selling one of (yes I own more than one PS2) PlayStations on Ebay right now. It's only up to $11 bucks. . . .thankfully I have about 5 more days left before the bidding ends. Maybe I should have taken it to CD Tradepost or Gamestop Afterall. They only offered 40 bucks so I decided to take a gamble and see what I could get for it online. Fingers crossed.

Peace
Yesterday was a busy day for me. Hence no post, here's basically what happened.
Jake has left, he packed up with his bro around 6 AM and began his 13 hour drive back to Houston.
Mom came up and bought some food for me, as well as some Christmas presents for Derrick. She got the food because I plan to spend the weekend at Smith before returning home. The cafeteria is closed during winter break and the weather forecast said it would snow today (they were right) and she wanted to make sure I didn't have to drive in it anymore than necessary.
I helped Rosa, her mom, and her aunt move out and also scavenged all the junk they didn't feel like carting with them: Bed loft, plastic hangars, cactus.
Rosie told me that Odessa didn't join her and Christine for their little party yesterday despite having planned it for weeks. She told me that Odessa had spent the night at some guys house. This came as a shock to me since Odessa told me over the phone that after the party she was heading home, but would call me when she had the chance.
She didn't call. I'm confused, I could have sword she liked me. She asked me out on two unofficial dates, and I always got the feeling she was flirting with me. Though women can hold your hand or cuddle with you in just a friendly way, right? I didn't know. I wasn't sure, so I didn't try to assume much at first. I guess I'll never know now. Last night I saw her with some guys hand on her butt, generally this kind of thing doesn't get a positive reaction but she didn't seem to mind. I didn't pay too much attention to it at the time (I think most of her friends are gay, music major ya know) but I wonder if this was that guy. Maybe she got sick of waiting for me to make a move or something. Even if that is the case, it doesn't make me feel much better.
Not at all.
I spent most of today watching movies or reading. The dormitory is so quiet now with just a few foreign students and RAs here. No Jake watching football, no drunken partiers in the halls. Just me, I'll be heading home tomorrow once they clear the snow.

Bad Luck?
Finals are finally over. I think I got at least a B on all of them which isn't bad. I need at least an 85% on my math final to get a B in that class. I felt pretty confident on everything, they were a lot easier than I expected and I was already giddy with the thought of all my fantastic high marks. As I was walking back to the dorm two black cats slinked their way past me and into the bushes.
I'm not superstitious but it was odd. It was odd that at a time when I'm hoping for the best something should pop up to cast some doubt in me. Then again, maybe it's not. I don't really know or care. Final exams are finished and I have my first semester of college under my belt. Even if I do fuck up I'll just consider it a learning experience. Sort of like my entire high school career.
I asked Odessa out to celebrate but she said that she couldn't because she had planned a going away part for Rosa and Christine. They're both moving out of the dorm next semester.

Snoweeeee!
This campus has some of the steepest hills I have ever seen (though the girl from San Francisco still thinks the hole state is flat). Naturally when it snows, people run out to sled down these hills. I decided to give up a night of studying to hit the slopes with Odessa, Britt, and Rosa.
No one actually had a sled so we had to improvise. Laundry baskets were common, as were cafeteria lunch trays. When I reached the top of the hill I found several flattened pizza boxes strewn around. I used the top of my laundry basket, coated with PAM and although Jake doubted it would work well I think it was the second best "sled" out there. It was fast as hell, second only to the skateboard this one guy had. He removed the wheels and axles and was nice enough to give my a try at breaking my neck on it.
In short, a lot of fun.

Stuff That Has Happened Today
A brief but intense blizzard that has left everything covered with a powdery snow.
Finally got that 555 timed circuit to work. The first time they burned it up when I was doing some research online. Shelley and I spent some time fixing it today and now it works fine. She had to pay for the new stuff because I spent all my money on the old parts; but thanks to an unrelated student project that I will be participating in this Wednesday I should make that money back.
While yanking out components I got a piece stuck in my hand that left 6 small pin holes that bled for a while, now scabbed up.
Drank a delicious Starbucks frappuccino.

Tonight Was Fun
I went to see Rent with Odessa, and I enjoyed it a lot more than I thought I would. Now it looks like I will have to pull an all nighter though to finish up this paper. I still think it was worth it.

Fundies Fail At Life
A controversial anthropology course at my school will not be taught next semester as planned. Several people shat themselves upon discovering some Christian topics would be taught under a course with Mythology in the title. I guess they're still not ready to accept the fact that the bible is mostly fantasy (not unlike Harry Potter) with some pseudo-historical anecdotes sprinkled in.
When will you learn?

Fuck The RAs/Management/Janitors
Damnit they took down all the wall mounted dry erase boards outside out doors; those bastards! That is a staple of collegian communication. Okay, so it's not as vital cell phones, e-mail, or text messaging but it was lot more fun!
The cleaning crew complained about constantly having to erase explicit thing from the boards. What the fuck? This isn't middle school. If someone was truly offended by what they saw on their dry erase board they would wipe it off themselves. Your job is to clean toilets, empty the trash, and vacuum my Ramen Noodle crumbs and be damn grateful you get the opportunity, instead of some illegal immigrant.
I purchased my own board but people keep ripping it down as they walk past. No adhesive can compare to the bonding strength of screws. Well maybe one exist, but it's not available at Wal-Mart for under $3.
I'm also pissed about the parking ticket I received during yet another sporting event. My car was ticket free when I walked past, so I assumed I had an extra 5 minutes to grab my coat (so I wouldn't freeze when I walked back to the dorms) but once I got back outside to move my car it was too late. Since I already had the ticket I decided to leave my car there. I'm not going to get charged $20 and THEN move. Fuck you guys. That's one less parking space for the fans. They'll get over it. I'm sure the university will find some other way they can whore themselves to athletics in compensation. Speaking of compensation, that money is coming out your ass Officer 699.
On the bright side, I scored on of those sweet rolling chairs I wanted from the 9th floor lobby.
